Chickens

Our Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, Cuckoo Maran and Speckled Sussex are heritage breeds that provide the farm, family and neighbours with farm fresh brown eggs and meat. The chicken droppings provide nutrients for the gardens.

Chickens are also a natural, organic form of pest control. They eat mosquitoes, black flies and other insects so life is more pleasant on the farm.
